This week has been a busy one for this writer – a possible new job in the offing, and wrapping up the publication effort of "2 Wheels/2 Weeks." And there was also a good deal of effort expended because of insurance, both household and automobile.

The hurricane in Texas proved to be a historically proportioned disaster, which proved the efficacy of the Trump presidency. A well-intentioned businessman gets the job done. Democrats hate that.

Any of those subjects could take up the space that this column usually occupies, but I'm tired from all the efforts of the week, and think that I will take this opportunity to say nothing. There are many who welcome that decision, but don't believe me for a second.

Let's see how well I can maintain my silence.
